Conclusion:
In conclusion, Turkey has retained their tradtions by keeping some of the same clothing, imports, and exports as they did in the ancient times. Some examples of this are woven rugs, long cloaks, head and face covers, food items, and religious literature. The changes overtime in Turkey are the types of government, some traditions, the land area, and population. In the ancient times, the government used to be made up of sultans, and military and civil adminisraters, but now its a republic parlimentary democracy. Modernity and tradition clashed by the ancient traditions mostly being related to the arts and very traditional clothing, and now Turks dress more modern and have more modern activities besides the arts. The most important causes of these changes would be that as the rest of the world advanced, they advanced with it, and that the Ottoman empire conquered lots of land and made the empire larger. Also, Constantinople used to be part of the Byzantine empire, so it was mostly Christian until Islam came into the picture. Bibliography:
